The European Rare Diseases Research Alliance- ERDERA has launched the 2026 Joint Transnational Call, focused on diagnosing undiagnosed or complex rare conditions using advanced functional, genomic, multi-omics, modelling, and AI-based approaches.
Purpose
To address diagnostic gaps in rare diseases, support patient-driven research, and foster multinational, interdisciplinary collaboration that benefits patients.
Who can apply?
Researchers from:
- Academia
- Clinical and public health institutions
- Enterprises (including SMEs)
- Patient advocacy organisations
Consortia:
- 4–6 partners from at least 4 countries (up to 8 partners in specific cases).
Key dates
- Pre-proposals due: 12 February 2026
- Full proposals due: 8 July 2026
- Funding decisions: December 2026
