Launch of Biweekly CPMS Online Case Meetings

As of May 2026, ERN GUARD-Heart has launched a new series of biweekly online Clinical Patient Management System (CPMS) meetings to strengthen collaboration and knowledge exchange across the network. The first session took place on 18 May 2026 at 17:00 CET, marking the start of this structured initiative.

Upcoming meetings

  • Monday 22 June 2026 – University Medical Center Utrecht (confirmed)
  • Monday 6 July 2026 – Antwerp University Hospital (not yet confirmed)
  • Monday 20 July 2026 – Umeå University Hospital (confirmed & panel opened)

A new platform for collaborative case discussion

Platform: CPMS2.0 meeting tool Home – CPMS 2.0 – CARE

These one-hour online sessions are designed to facilitate expert discussion of complex clinical cases across Europe, including participation from centres in Ukraine. Each session will feature three clinical cases, which may involve patients requiring expert opinion or cases that highlight different diagnostic and management approaches among ERN centres.

To ensure high-quality discussions:

  • All cases are uploaded in advance to CPMS, preferably as a single PowerPoint file including relevant clinical data and ECGs.
  • The submitting centre invites 1–2 experts via CPMS to provide written input ahead of the meeting.
  • During the session, cases and expert comments are reviewed and discussed collectively.

Experts who provide written feedback are encouraged—but not required—to attend the live discussion.

Organisation and responsibilities

Meetings are held on the first and third Monday of each month at 17:00 CET, with flexibility for alternative dates where needed. Each session is chaired by the centre that prepared and uploaded the cases.

To support participation:

  • The chairing centre receives €500 per case (€1,500 per session with three cases)
  • An Amsterdam UMC representative attends each meeting to provide technical support if required.

Responsibility for case preparation rotates among ERN centres in alphabetical order by city(list). Amsterdam UMC initiated the series by preparing the first three cases.

If you have closed the Panel, you can fill in the Reinbursement form and return together with Panel report to ERN Coordination

Participation and access

All ERN centres are kindly asked to ensure representation at each meeting. Representatives may include clinicians as well as early-career healthcare professionals. As sessions are conducted via the CPMS meeting tool, it is essential that centres have multiple healthcare professionals with active CPMS accounts.
