Marianne Barret Witteberg

Currently I am the chair of the HCM Swedish Society (HCM SS) and I am also one of the founders of this non-profit patient association.

I am myself a HCM patient and when I started my own HCM journey almost 15 years ago I saw the need for more knowledge, awareness and a HCM community in Sweden.

Due to the burden of symptoms from my obstructive hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, I have had to make a career change but the common denominator in my professional life has always been organizational development, learning and communication in different ways; experiences in which that I am able to apply in building the organization HCM SS together with the board.

I work full time as a coordinator in the municipality of Ludvika with the mission to coach the long-term unemployed to self-sufficiency through work or education.
